Yet again Air ports have been forced to close due to torrential snow which has covered the run ways. Six inches of snow has terminated nearly 600 flights and has left thousands of passengers stranded with nowhere to go or stay.
Gatwick isn’t alone as many other airports located around the country are suffering the same problems, The largest Airport in England is Gatwick which hasn’t yet closed it door even though it is suffering from delays and cancellations, Edinburgh has mostly been effected due to the heavy snow fallen in that area.
Gatwick’s Spokesmen declared the airport shut due to safety reasons, The airline industry will do anything to avoid another accident giving that it had a strike of bad luck over the last couple of years.
Airlines have informed the Passengers to return home until other wise informed.

Why can’t they just salt and grit the runways like the do the roads around the country the same principal applies I suppose?
