OK so I am overweight. OK so I love food in a big way. But hold on a minute I would love to lose the majority of my excess weight as I am not happy at being fat. So what should I do? I had tried so many times to lose weight however for whatever reason had always failed to do so, at least over the longer term. I could lose a certain amount of weight after say two or three months but it would always “go back on” in double quick fashion. I could just not keep the various diets going. There was only one thing for it – I would have to exercise my way to my ideal weight!

Yes this does seem like a lot of effort and a lot of pain and this is why I enlisted the help of a personal trainer North London. As you can see I was very determined to make this time a success.

This was around ten months ago. I did not have any specific goal in mind as to why I wanted to lose weight – for example it was not because I was going on holiday or because I was getting married. I guess I had basically had enough of being fat!

I would have to go down the exercise route as I did not believe that I could continue to give up my favourite fatty foods over the longer term.

But what I was more than surprised to see is that having completed an exercise session I did not want to eat these types of foods. It was along the lines of: that was a whole lot of effort which is not worth that chocolate bar. So the exercise helped me to evaluate the amount of work I would have to do to work off the chocolate bar, as an example, and I realised that it was just not worth the pain.

Thanks to the wonderful personal trainer I am now more than happy with my physique!
